The problem has to do with a “switch-router” mismatch in terms of password

  • A “switch” is a device that facilitates one way flow of information, unlike the more common “router” that allows “here and there” or a “to and fro” transfer of data
  • If either the DEFAULT password for the “switch” or the USER DEFINED password for the “switch” (IT personnel) does not EXACTLY match the password for the “router(s)” there can be no communication between the web-enabled application and the database / stored information
  • The solution is to ensure that the password for the “switch” and the “router(s)” at the are identical to each other (precisely). The connected computers / network enabled terminals / kiosks / other connections that are a part of the operation should then be power cycled (restarted)
  • With special note of the toggle tabs in the system setup for the “switch” and the “router(s)” and with further reference to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz panes
